Saturday from 1pm Under 12 years Open Solo sections. Sunday from 9am All Novice sections, figure dancing sections, Adult & special event sections. Estimated finish time mid afternoon Sunday. S p e c i a l S e c t i o n s Aislinn Ryan Tribute Award This trophy is awarded to the Open dancer in any age group that receives the highest total points across all 3 dances. Traditional Set Dance: (Trophy Dance) Competitors will dance their own choice of traditional set dance at traditional speeds. Sections; Under 9, 9-13. Entry fee $6.00 Boys open set dance. Entry fee $6.00 Solo Hard Shoe Reel: (Special Prize Section) Due to popular demand, this section is back for another year! Dancers compete in two sections: Under 13 years or Over 13 years. Your own Steps,your own costume, your choice of Music. Under 13 – 32 bars Over 13 – 48 bars. Entry fee $6.00 Team Hard Shoe Dance: Dancers perform any hard shoe dance (Original Choreography) with or without music. A minimum of 2 and maximum of 6 dancers are required to compete in this section. Over 13 years : Maximum 96 bars, Under 13 years : Maximum 96 bars. Entry fee $2.00 per dancer N e w S e c t i o n s Adult Beginners - Soft Shoe : Hard Shoe : Adult Team ceilidh entries. Entry flat fee $15.00 (Covers TIDA reg.) F i g u r e da n c e S e c t i o n s Age Groups: Under 9 years, 9 – 13 years, Over 13 years. (Please note, no composed figures). 4 hand Commission Book 6 hand Commission Book 8 hand Commission Book Entry fee $2.00 per dancer S y l l a b u s Novice Any dancer who has never been placed at the New Zealand qualifying championships is invited to compete in the novice section (under 13 only). Entry fee $6.00 per dance Open Aggregate International competitors and all other dancers. Reel or Slip Jig, Hard Jig or Hornpipe, Set Dance. Entry fee $35.00 per dancer. Trophies for Ist, 2nd & 3rd place over all three dances will be awarded in the Open sections only. Competitors must complete three dances in open section to be eligible for trophies. In the body of your email, please include the following information: Dancer/s Name: Age/s of dancer/s on January 1st 2010: Dancing School: Sections in which dancer/s wish to compete (please include all solo, team, and special sections): If from out of Wellington, please indicate whether you wish to be billeted with a Wellington family. Upon receipt of your entry, Rosemary will respond with the total amount owing, as well as a bank account number into which we ask you to transfer funds electronically. NB: Each family’s entry will incur a hall admission fee of $15, which will allow for an unrestricted number of friends and family to attend the competition at any time over the weekend.
